Financial Literacy Program
To promote banking habits in the non banking villages where the population exceeds 2000, financial literacy campaign was launched under Financial Literacy program sponsored by the NABARD. in this program 17 villages were identified and detail survey was conducted. On the basis of the survey detail strategy was developed with the help of different bankers. To start with one mega camp to promote credit linkage, open saving bank, promote Kisan Credit Card was organized at Haroli Block. After this two day camp in each selected villages were held. All the facilities available with the bank were provided at the spot and regular follow up of the pending cases were taken by visiting the villagers. This program is in its last phase. Lead bank, Punjab National Bank, Una and State Bank of India, Una branch are the coordinating bank in this program.
  The NABARD has sanctioned one 40 Vermi Compost unit under UPNRM project and this is the first program being sanctioned to any NGO under UPNRM.
