Luminous Advanced Mentoring Program

Luminous Advanced Mentoring Program, popularly known as “LAMP” was started in the year 2016, with the aid to provide quality education to deserving poor students of government schools in the Gagret block. Initially it was decided to select 25 scholars every year and mentor them for 4 years, up to 12th standards. But in the year 2018-19, its strength raised to 153 scholars, instead of 25. At present we have 303 scholars from both the sexes. The main activities under this program is as under: -

1. Selection of Scholars from 9th standards, who have obtained more than 70% of marks in 8th standards.
2. Preliminary selection, written test and interview.
3. Induction into the program.
4. Out of Scholl coaching.
5. Supplementary Nutrition during coaching class.
6. Peer Group Workshops.
7. Mentoring.
8. Periodic evaluation, home visit, and school interaction.

Achievement during the year 2018-19

Our 1 LAMP scholar from BATCH 2 secured 10th position and one scholar 11th position out of 118520 students appeared before HP board exam. She is only government school student from Una district who achieved this position in Top 10 Himachal Pradesh board examination .

One of LAMP scholar from batch 2 stood second in MATH OLYMPIAD and CHILDREN SCIENCE CONGRESS in zonal level and participated at district level . She stood first in SCIENCE QUIZ at DISTRICT Level and participated in state level.

16 LAMP SCHOLARS cleared State Level Himotkarsh Exam.

9 LAMP scholars got position at State level and 11 LAMP scholars at District level in Sports.

Out of 25 Scholars of [Batch 1) Our 14 lamp scholars got position in top 100 HP 10TH BOARD OF EDUCATION.

Overall our 15 scholars from (batch- 2) got position in TOP 20 HP board of school education.

From 30 schools, our Scholars (Batch 3) from 28 schools got class positions in their schools in 9th class.

Our 3 lamp scholars got position in UNA SUPER 50 MERIT LIST. Out of total budget of Rs. An amount of Rs. Was utilized for various activities.
